Economic effects of terrorism: An investigation on the middle east

Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the economy of terror-significant economies in the Middle East and terrorism, the main countries that do not present a great struggle with terrorism with the help of panel data analysis to examine how it affects the economies of these countries. In the research, the economies of Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia will be taken over the general lives and the effects of terror on economy will be examined the econometric point of view by using ?panel data analysis? with variables such as goods and services exports, goods and services import, gross domestic product per capita, the number of turists visiting the country, foreign direct investment, the total labor force unemployment rate, gross domestic product for a period covering 2003-2010 years in this countries after it is informed superficially about terror and the relationship between terror and economy. According to the results, in general, it has been found that dependent variables mentioned above have been explained by terror being independent variable. Furthermore, it has been determined that terror has negative effect all the dependent variables. Key Words :The Middle East, Terrorism, Terrorism, Economy, Panel Data Analysis
