Abstract (EN)

The shipyard sector has maintained its importance for centuries due to meeting the need for ships. However, work processes based on human factors such as welding, painting and grinding in these enterprises harbour various risks for employees. Employees face ergonomic and psychosocial risk factors depending on the nature of their work. Factors such as incorrect posture, noise, temperature, dust, time pressure, inequality between employees and excessive workload make a healthy and safe working environment difficult. This situation may lead to problems such as musculoskeletal disorders, loss of concentration, decrease in work efficiency, fatigue and stress. Therefore, occupational health and safety is of great importance in the shipbuilding industry to keep the health and safety of employees at the highest level. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and evaluate the risks that employees may face during ship production. In this context, the employees and working conditions in the shipyard were evaluated in terms of ergonomic and psychosocial risk factors and the data obtained by Fine-Kinney Risk Assessment Method, one of the qualitative risk assessment methods, were analysed. It is aimed to contribute the data obtained as a result of the evaluation to the literature.
