Abstract (EN)
The main objective of this thesis, the logistics company providing services in the logistics sector in Turkey that draw attention to the problems that arise while operating the reverse logistics activities, it is to raise awareness on what these problems might be. The liabilities of logistics enterprises may vary in all logistical processes or transportation types. Specifically, the characteristics of the cargoes such as genus, species, size, weight, condition; these factors directly affect the liability of the carrier. In the first part of the thesis briefly logistics concept and scope, as well as the logistics of why it is important, the situation in Turkey and the world, with the current situation in the country comparison of firms located in an ideal location in terms of logistics industry in the world, focused on what is happening in the logistics management and basic elements. In the second part, the concept of Reverse Logistics, which is the main subject of the thesis, focuses on what is the difference between a normal logistics process, its scope and why it finds its application area. Furthermore, Reverse Logistics Implementation Processes, which describe the processes in which reverse logistics are applied, what are the main reverse logistics activities in these processes have been described. While all these criteria were explained, various evaluations were made in the Reverse Logistics area and the example in the literature was investigated in the Reverse Logistics activities. In the last part of the chapter, it is emphasized that transportation from logistics elements is the most important criterion. In the third and last chapter, the aim and scope of thesis have been given. As a research method, case studies of qualitative research methods have found an area of implementation. The most important reason for this is the examination of the differences between the liabilities of logistics enterprises in the normal logistics processes and their liabilities in reverse logistics processes as a result of our investigations to Turkish Commercial Courts and Consumer Courts. Within the scope of the last chapter, the definition of liability of logistics enterprises, damage and loss have been defined in the context of an introduction of the transportation law; public and private law processes having area of application in the field of reverse logistics, are found. In the second part of the study, case studies were conducted on each of the reverse logistics activities described in the second section and how to calculate the compensation amounts that the carriers would be liable for.
