Abstract (EN)

An airvehicle, or an additional system developed to be embedded to an aircraft should be subjected to a test and evaluation process, in order to ensure the use of the air vehicle or the system safely and efficiently in specific standards during the life cycle. Phases of Test and evaluation process is very important since it plays an irreplacable role in demonstrating the efficient execution of system's intended function full filing the requirements maintaining flight safety. In this thesis it is aimed to investigate the benefits of the usage of Telemetry Systems as a risk reducing factor in test flights which entertains a high risk level compared to a regular flight. Risk reducing precautions which can be taken in a test flight are analysed, and the benefits of using telemetry systems in terms of flight safety are investigated with in this aspect. Although in this study it is mainly focused on military air vehicles and external load systems, the technics and the methodolgy used can enlighten a number of problems faced in civil aviation as well.
