Prof. Dr. Ramazan BİLGİN In this study, effect of testosteroneundeconoate on growth of golden grey mullet (Mugil aurata RISSO, 1810) in fresh water, was investigated. After adaptation of the fishes to fresh water, fish was fed diets supplemented with 0 (control), 10, 20 and 30 mg/kg testosteroneundeconoate dosage that orally administered. Study was finished in 60 days. Samplings were carried out every 20 days. At the end of the study, it was found that body weight averages were respectively, 11.16±0.21 g, 18.62±0.0 g, 14.80±0.49 g and 11.57±0.94 g and total length averages were respectively, 10.26±0.0 cm, 12.10±0.0 cm, 11.18±0.12 cm and 10.60±0.20 cm. Mortality was determined as 60 % in which group. It was found significantly differences amongs grups according to statistical analysis (PO.05). Fishes were fed 10 mg/kg testosteroneundeconoate, grew 2.5-fold larger than control grups and fishes were fed 30 mg/kg testosteroneundeconoate and 1.5-fold larger than fishes were fed 20 mg/kg testosteroneundeconoate. As a result, 10 mg/kg dosage of testosteroneundeconoate that administered to first grup, is recommended to the culture of this species in fresh water.
