Abstract (EN)

Key words: Preconcentration, trace elements, silica gel, triethylenetetramine, modification, gold, palladium, copper, nickel, atomic absorption spectrometry In this study, triethylenetetramine bonded silica gel (TETA-SG) was synthesized. The modified silica gel was characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR spectroscopy. Preconcentration conditions of Au (III), Pd (II), Cu (II) and Ni (II) elements with the synthesized modified silica gel were investigated using column technique. The effects of parameter such as pH of solution, volume of solution, flow rate, type of eluent solution and matrix ions were studied. Optimum preconcentration conditions were determined. Developed method was applied to the synthetic sea water and river water for copper and nickel analysis. Furthermore, the method was applied to the ore sample which is a standard reference material for gold and palladium analysis. Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry was used for analysis of trace elements.
