Abstract (EN)
Keyword: Pd(II), adsorption, removal, tetraethylene pentamine polyurea polymer In this study, adsorption Pd (II) ions from aqueous solutions was investigated using tetraethylene polyurea polymer and on the adsorption studies such as pH, contact time, TEPA dose and initial concentration of Pd (II) were investigated. The experimental data analyzed using Langmiur and Freundlic isotherm models were showed a higher compliance with the Langmiur isoterm representing the monolayer adsorption. Maximum adsorption capacity of TEPA for Pd (II) ions was calculated to be 169,48 mg g-1 according to Langmiur isotherm. Adsorption kinetics of Pd (II) ions on TEPA were found to consistent with second order model. Thermodynamic calculations showed that process is exothermic and occurs spontaneously.
