Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the antimicrobial effects of essential oil contents and 18 microorganisms of Teucrium polium L. (Acıyavşan) and Thymus longicaulis subsp. longicaulis C. Presl (Aşkekiği) taxa grown naturally in Kastamonu and its surroundings. Essential oils obtained from plants were tested on pathogen Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus durans, Enterococcus faecium, Enterococcus faecalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Listeria monocytogenes, Listeria innocua, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella kentucky, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella enteritidis, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans.
