Fitnah concept in Qur'an within context of its effect on understanding of tawhid and justice

In this study, verses revealing fitnah concept, which gains different meanings depending on the place of occurrence in the context of the Holy Qur'an, and the negative effects of fitnah over the principles of tawhid and justice have been examined. This study consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusionsections.In the first chapter, the concept of fitnah was examined in terms of its dictionary definition and its meanings in Qur'an. In the second chapter, essence of fitnah and its manifestations in people were described. General characteristics of fitnah creating people were emphasized in this chapter. In the third chapter, through analyzing tawhid and justice concepts and by emphasizing the negative effects of fitnah on these basic principles, Qur'an's call to fight against fitnah was evaluated.Verses related to fitnah were analyzed while special attention was given to read within the integrity of the Qur'an. Related verses were analyzed considering before and after verses through utilizing baseline resources. Verses with meaning relationships that can be constructed with each other were discussed within the same topic and verses that can be understood separately were addressed in the framework of their own contexts. Effect of fitnah in the beliefs and the practices of people and public life were discussed. To avoid harm to tawhid and justice principles featured within this context by fitnah phenomenon, through also studying these concepts, Qur'an references were tried to be revealed on which ways people should follow.
