Almanca ve Türkçe masal örnekleri üzerine metindilbilimsel bir inceleme

The term text linguistics is used to describe a linguistic approach, which has been established since 1960's especially in Germany. Contrary to its predecessors this linguistic approach sees not the sentence but the text as the core unit, which is supposed to be subject to linguistic analysis. According to this approach the term text refers to a completed linguistic structure, which has semantical and grammatical relations and communicational function. In accordance to tex tlinguistics, texts indicate in terms of content, form and function certain prototypes called text types, which have been formed by social usage throughout the history. In this respect, it its possible, that these text types show differences bonded by society and culture where they are utilized. In contrastive studies about different text types in diverse languages, which have been carried out from past to present such results have been observed supporting this assumption. In this regard, to examine this hypothesis in this study, text typs called fairy tales in German and Turkish are analysed contrastively using text linguistics criteria. The corpus of the study consists of three German and three Turkish fairy tales. In the end its aimed to find out the similarities and differences between two corpora using linguistic criteria for text analysis. According to analysis results, the fairy tales in German and Turkish showed rather similarities concerning text external criteria, which cover communicational context of text and textual functions, whereas regarding text internal criteria, which cover textual content and form, rather differences were detected.
