Examination of ABS performance in commercial vehicles

ABS is system that prevents the wheels from locking during braking and is widely used in vehicles. Some legislation and regulations and homologation processes need to be completed in order fort he vehicles to be put on the road. In homologation processes, the brake compliance of vehicles can be determined according to the UN ECE R13 regulation, and ABS brake performances can be determined according to Annex 13 of the relevant regulation. In vehicles with ABS, differences in brake modulators, vehicles mass, vehicle fuel type, tire sizes affect the braking performance. In this study, ABS performances used in commercial vehicles were examined.
