Evaluating in terms of vulnerable child syndrome of the parents that has TYPE 1 diabetes children

The study has planned as definer for the purpose of evaluating of parents that has children of Vulnerable Child Syndrome(VCS). The population of the study consisted of the parents that has Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus Children Ministry of Health of Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Gynaecology and Pediatric Hospital Child Endocrine Department and Gaziantep University Şahinbey Research and Application Hospital Child Endocrinology and Metabolism Department, between date of 01.11.2018-01.02.2019. In addition to that, 102 parents have constituted the sample according to inclusion criterion. Researhing data is collected Parent and Child Oriented Data Collecting Form that is developed by Researher and Child Vulnerability Scale for evaluate Parent in terms of VCS. It has used to IBM SPSS Statistics packet program for Data Statistic Analysis. It is detected parents that participated to study, percent of 75,5% is mothers, average of age is 34,5±6,19 years and percent of 54,9% in 23-34 age group, percent of 76,5% declaratory relative of intrafamilial is good. The average of age of children that is participated to study is 76,30±18,31 month. The highest rate (29.4%) age group is between 8 years 1 month (97 months) and 8 years 6 months (103 months), percent of 55,9% is girl, percent of 35,3% is normal according to percantil value of BMI's Z score. In study, it is detected Type 1 Dm monitoring is made by mother in percent of 53,9%, the average value of HbA1c of children in last 6 months is 8,83±1,44 and 51,9% percent is 7,6-9(middle metabolic control). The average score of CVS of parents is found 12,48±4,26 and the percent of 75,5% of parents is also found which they perceive their children is fragile according to CVS score results. The parents that is express the intrafamilial relations is middle level (%91,7) are detected perceive their children much more vulnerable than parents that is express the intrafamilial relations is good level (70,5%) in terms of statistical meaningful degree (p<0,05). The parents that are thouht the treatment program is not suitable (89,1%), are detected perceive their children much more fragile the parents that are thouht the treatment program is suitable (64,3%) in terms of statistical meaningful degree (p<0,05). In line with these results, the factors that could be reason of vulnerable perception of children that has type 1 Dm diagnosis should be research and it should increase the frequency of educations, parents should make strong about diabetes management.
