Abstract (EN)
The earthquake is caused by shock waves originated from the earth the energy isimpated due to the fiction od of the earth's crust parts against each other constantly accumulated on the magma which constitutes the inner structure of the earth. During this event, land fractures, which can sometimes be seen for miles. Since our country is located on highly active seismic fault lines in terms of earthquakes, it is of great importance to design and contructs earthquake resistant structures. After the 1999 earthquake, large-scale loss of life and property made it necessary to take precautions for earthquake effects. It is proposed that the existing structures should be reconstructed or strengthened to ensure that they do meet the requirements of the new seismic codes. Laws encouraging urban transformation have been introduced to ensure this issue.
