Field arrangement and experimental application examples on typography space relationship

The emergence of the concept of 'participant-audience', in which the communication process of the artist with his work, audience and place is examined, has gained great importance in the recent past and today. In this context, the work has become integrated with its surroundings and the place where it is exhibited, gaining meaning. Typography is a design element, an effective communication element that has an important place in this environment. This research, which was compiled in order to reveal the effect of typography in a space and the potential of that effect, is to apply an experimental installation in order to show that typographical elements can be included, typography can be the language of that space, and a silent communication can be established with the participants. Purpose of the research; It is to describe the idea, the situation and, in short, the creation of awareness by adding facts such as size, movement, color, light, photography, video to typography. In the first three chapters of the research, the relationship between typography and installation in a three-dimensional space was tried to be determined. One of the most important factors that distinguishes the installation, which is about 'perceptual experience', from other arts is the concept of 'space'. The concept of space, in the fourth part of the research; Typography and Field Fiction are included in the subtitles of Artistic Practices. The relationship between typography and installation that triggers, develops and magnifies each other is the focus of the research. In the formation of the research topic, with a strong communication channel such as typography, it is to leave deep and permanent traces on the audience when desired, and to enable them to engage in an effort to raise awareness of social events. In the fifth part of the study, in the context of the installations on a Typographic Field Fiction Experiment (Violence Against Women) and the effective communication power between typography and installation, awareness of violence against women was created through the works put forward. 10 typographic works were produced by the researcher and presented to the attention of the audience between 16-19 February 2023 with a fictional arrangement in the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kastamonu University.
