Experimental approaches in typography and evaluation of multilayeredness

Writing, which was one of man's most valuable communication tools at the time it was discovered, is used aesthetically and functionally within the discipline of typography. Letters, each of which is a symbol of meaning in itself, come together to form words, and words come together to form sentences, building new meanings and layers of meaning. Presenting these layers of meaning in an aesthetic and more impressive way is possible with typography and experimental productions on typography. In typography, the experimentation, multi-layered thought, and application approach in the typographic construction process gives structural and semantic depth to the design and offers multiple consumption/reading/perception perspectives to the viewer/reader. Nowadays, ai technologies are actively used in art/design, the importance of producing with experimental methods and from different disciplines has increased. In the research, the relationship between experimental approaches and multi-layeredness in typography is examined by exemplifying current developments. It is emphasized that experimental approaches enable a fun design process that resembles game action and achieve original, creative, impressive, and typographic results. In this context, the concept of experiment, the concept of multilayeredness and other concepts that can be associated with these concepts are explained in the research. Experimental approaches and multi-layeredness in typography were evaluated and examples from designers who produced with these approaches were given. Creative design experiments and methods that can be used to create layers are explained with examples. The importance and management of the process of producing experimental typography in typography was explained, and the conceptual and structural evaluation of the application study was made.
