Abstract (EN)
Introduction: The aim of our study is to evaluate the frequency of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) serology in patients with Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (TKI) and HBV reactivation in patients undergoing serology. Material Method: The files of patients using TKI who were followed up with CML in 2009-2019 at the Inonu University Turgut Ozal Medical Center, Hematology Department between 2009-2019 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The number of patients who were treated with TKI using 132 CML HBsAg was 74 (56.06%), the number of patients who were HBsAg and Anti-HBs were 73 (55.3%), 34 (25.75%) were Anti-HBc IgG, The number of patients with HBsAg and Anti-HBc IgG together is 34 (25.75%). None of the 74 CML patients with HBsAg were positive. In 34 patients with Anti-HBc IgG, 10 (29.41%) were positive. 3 of these 10 patients are exitus for various reasons and have no follow-up. HBV reactivation was detected in the follow-up of 7 patients who remained Anti-HBc IgG positive. Conclusion: Screening rate of HBV serology before treatment was lower in CML patients using TKI compared to the literature. In each patient before immunosuppressive therapy; Necessary trainings should be provided and awareness should be raised regarding the necessity of monitoring HBV DNA parameters in HBsAg, Anti-HBc IgG and HBsAg or Anti-HBc IgG positives. HBV reactivation risk assessment should be made, and prophylactic treatment should be evaluated according to the risk status and the necessity of good HBV infection monitoring should be emphasized.
