Abstract (EN)
Titanium based metal-organic cages are an attractive class of compounds due to the low toxicity of Ti element and its unique photocatalytic properties. Due to being a porous hybrid material class and its modular structures, many studies are being conducted on potential applications including synthesis and photocatalysis in different structures. In this thesis, Ti-Metal organic cages were synthesized by solvothermal method using organic titanate (triethanolaminato titanium(IV) complex), titanium(IV) propoxide and titanium(IV) isopropoxide as titanium precursors and terephthalic acid, 2-aminoterephthalic acid, trimesic acid, [1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid as secondary structural unit organic binders. When 4-aminobenzoic acid was used, Ti-oxo clusters, which are the precursor structural unit of metal organic structure, were obtained depending on the reaction conditions. Synthesized MIL-125, NH2-MIL-125, MIP-207, COK-47 structures were characterized by XRD, FTIR, TGA, BET, SEM analysis. Photocatalytic activity determinations were made for the removal of methylene blue and methyl orange, which are organic pollutants in wastewater used in textile, leather and cosmetics industries, of the obtained Ti-MOFs with NH2-MIL-125 and MIP-207 structures having high surface area. It was observed that NH2-MIL-125 (2), synthesized by solvothermal method using 2-amino terephthalic acid as organic binder group, has high photocatalytic activity in the removal of methylene blue.
