Abstract (EN)

Thiophene and sulfadiazine ring ligands from heterocyclic compounds are attracting more attention in this field due to their significant biological activity. This thesis study includes the synthesis and structural elucidation of a Schiff base containing a thiophene ring and its first-row basic transition metal complexes. The compound to be used as a ligand was synthesized from the reaction of thiophene-2,5-dicarbaldehyde and 4-amino-N-(pyrimidin-2-yl) benzenesulfonamide. The structure of the ligand was determined using spectroscopic and analytical techniques such as NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis (CHNS), and melting point. Complexes with the structure (MLX2) were synthesized from the 1/1 stoichiometric reaction of the ligand with Cu(II), Ni(II), and Co(II) acetate salts. The structures of the synthesized complexes were determined using spectroscopic and analytical techniques such as FT-IR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis (CHNS), electrolyte conductivity, and magnetic susceptibility tests.
