Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to analyze the the morphology of Tofa Turkish ?spoken in Siberia region- in a historical-comperative way, and to determine the structural and functional properties of morphemes in Tofa Turkish. The present study consists of two chapters, namely introduction and analysis. Some information on the sociocultural history of Tofa Turks, the place of Tofa Turkish in the classification of Turkish dialects, the description of letters used to write Tofa Turkish and phonological pattern of Tofa Turkish are provided in the first chapter.In the second chapter ?being the basic part of the research- the categories of Vocabulary, Derivational Suffixes, Nouns, Pronoun, Adverb, Verb, Tense, Aspect, Mood and Modality, Actionality are analyzed. Each category which is analzed with a historical-comperative approach is treated in terms of structure and function through examples. In the conclusion part, the outcomes gathered at the end of the research are itemized. The works benefited throughout the research are listed in the bibliography section in the alphabetical order of authors? names.Key Words: Tofa Turkish, Old Turkish, Morphology, Word Formation, Verbal inflection.
