A research on the algae of Tokat Behzat stream

In this study, planktonic and benthic algae were investigated in the samples taken from 3 stations, which were determined between February 2012 and January 2013, in Tokat Behzat Stream. Inaddition, physicaland chemical analysis of stream water was also examined. In the Behzat Deresi algal community, Bacillariophyta was the dominant organism group. A total of 44 taxa were identified in the algal flora.Bacillariophyta 25, Chlorophyta 10, Cyanobacteria 9. In the measurements, it was determined that the water showed slightly alkaline properties. In this study, isolation of Cladophora fracta which is dense in the flora of Behzat Stream was also made.
