Determination of herbal and yield properties of some hemp (Cannabis sativa var. L) variety and populations in Tokat-Kazova conditions

Abstract (EN)

In this study, yield parameters of 14 hemp genotypes in terms of fiber and seed production were investigated in Tokat-Kazova ecology. Five monoic cultivars obtained from abroad (Futura 75, USO 31, Fedora 17, Santhica 27, Ferimon12) and nine dioecious populations obtained from the country (Narlısaray, Kavacık, Van, Maltepe1, Maltepe 2, Maltepe 3, Maltepe 4, Eminönü1, Eminönü 3) as plant material were used. Genotypes were harvested in 2 different periods for fiber (full flowering period) and seed (seed maturity period) production. In the study, emergence time, plant height, stem diameter, technical stem length, number of lateral branches, biomass yield, fresh stem yield, dry stem yield, fiber rate, fiber yield, seed yield and oil rate were investigated separately for both harvest periods. According to the results obtained, Futura 75 cultivar stands out in monoic cultivars in terms of plant height, biomass yield, dry stem yield and fiber yield, while Narlısaray genotype stands out in dioic populations. The highest fiber yield was obtained from Futura 75 cultivar (493.64 kg/da) in monoic cultivars and Narlısaray genotype (511.06 kg/da) in dioic populations. In the harvest for seeds, Futura 75 cultivar stands out in monoic cultivars in terms of plant height, dry stem yield, fiber yield and seed yield, while Narlısaray genotype stands out in dioic populations. The highest seed yield was obtained from Futura 75 cultivar (288.30 kg/da) in monoic cultivars and Maltepe 2 genotype (205.69 kg/da) in dioic populations. According to the results obtained from the study, Futura 75 cultivar in monoic cultivars and Narlısaray genotype in dioic populations stand out in both harvest periods in Tokat-Kazova ecology.
