Determination of suitable processing tomato cultivars for main and second crop in Tokat province

Abstract (EN)

Aim of this study is to determine suitable varieties for main and second crop industrial tomato varieties in Tokat province. The study was conducted out at Agricultural Application and Research Center of Gaziosmanpasa University between April and November in 2014. 39 industrial tomato varieties were used in the experiment. The seeds were sown on April 20th for main crop and June 20th for second crop. Seedlings were planted in May 20th and July 20th respectively. In the main crop growing; the highest total yield, soluble solid dry matter, paste yield and dried tomato yield were obtained from CxD 294 F1 (88.89 t/ha), Nazar F1 (5.87), CxD 294 F1 (16.07 t/ha), and CxD 142 F1 (6.52 t/ha) and CxD 293 F1 veCxD 294 F1 (6.04 t/ha) varieties, respectively. In the second crop growing; the highest ripen fruit yield was determined Basar F1 (22.12 t/ha) variety. Both the highest green and total fruit yield were found out at Arte F1 (92.76 t/ha) variety.
