Abstract (EN)

This research aims to identify the problems of Afghan secondary school students who studies in Tokat and It was carried out with 105 Afghan students studying at secondary school in Merkez district of Tokat in the 2018-2019 Academic Year. According to the data obtained from Tokat Provincial Directorate of National Education, the number of foreign students who studying in primary and secondary schools is 982 in 2018-2019. There are 632 students from Afghanistan. There are 209 Afghan students who study just secondary school. In the research, a 30-question survey was prepared and applied by the researcher to determine the problems experienced by Afghan secondary school students. Data were analyzed with SPSS 22 software. In the statistical evaluation of the data, 05 error level was taken into consideration. In this research; Problems of Afghan students especially education, family's livelihood status, general condition of house, neighborhood, adaptation to the social environment, health situation, difficulties of speaking and understanding Turkish, social exclusion, child labor, family structure, get along with siblings were researched. The research is considered to be an important research due to the problems and expectations of the Afghan students. Keywords: Study, Refugee, Afghanistan, Student, Secondary School
