Abstract (EN)

The Sepetçiler Kiosk was built by Sultan İbrahim in 1643 as one of the outer garden pavilions of Topkapı Palace The Kiosk is one of the rare structures located on the city wall with in the Topkapı Palace. It has a special importance as it is the only example of the outer garden structures built on the city wall that has survived to the present day. Due to its location, Sepetçiler Kasrı has influenced the city's silhouette for centuries. This study discusses the function, architecture of the Sepetçiler Kiosk in the palace, and the transformation of the pavilion in the historical process. It consists of four sections: "Topkapi Palace Settlement", "History of the Sepetçiler Mansion", "Architecture and decoration of the Sepetçiler Mansion", and "Repairs and additions to the Sepetçiler Kiosk".
