Interpreting miniatures with universe phenomenon contents in the Topkapı Palace with picture language

The phenomenon of the universe, the formation of the universe, creation, cosmology and the existence of life have been intriguing topics that have been investigated and examined from past to present. In this context, the miniatures on the universe and the phenomenon of creation in the thesis titled "Interpreting Miniatures with Universe Phenomenon Contents in the Topkapi Palace with Picture Language" are discussed within the framework of Turkish art and Turkish mythology. The geography and cosmography book titled "Acaib'ül-Mahlûkat and Garaibü'l-Mevcudat" produced by Miniaturist Qazwini between the 15th and 16th centuries is currently in the Library of the Topkapi Palace Museum. The miniature manuscripts titled "the Earth and the Universe Formations", taking place in the Archives of Topkapi Palace Library under the inventory numbers of A.3632, H.405, H.409 and R.1088, form the centre of the thesis linked to the title defining the framework of it. The First Part of the Thesis is; discussed as the introduction. In The Second Part of the Thesis; the subheadings of the phenomenon of Creation, the concept of the universe, the concept of the universe in belief systems, myths and the concept of the universe in Turkish mythology and the phenomenon of Creation in Holy Books are discussed under the title of the concept of the universe. In The Third Part of the Thesis; the miniatures containing the phenomenon of the universe in the Topkapi Palace, Topkapi Palace, the miniature samples in the context of cosmology in the Topkapi Palace and the miniatures containing the phenomenon of the universe in the Topkapi Palace are discussed. In the fourth and last part of the thesis; the subheadings of the interpretation of the miniatures containing the phenomenon of the universe in the Topkapı Palace, Miniaturist Qazwini's Miniatures on the phenomenon of the universe are discussed within the scope of the Application Studies. During the study, it was acted together with the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the Directorate of Topkapi Palace Museum and the Library of Topkapi Palace Museum within the scope of the research service. Due to the inventory studies, digital images of miniature manuscripts were requested from the Library of the Topkapi Palace Museum and the visuals were used within the scope of the thesis. In addition, the manuscripts that were mentioned within the scope of research services were viewed in digital environment with the permission of the research obtained from the library and provided as digital visuals.
