As a result of hard competition arising with globalization occuring in recent years, businesses seek to find new methods and systems to getting harmonize with the globalizing era. In that research, businesses encountering with total quality management philosopy, begin to apply this mamagement method appearing the the only way to overcome the crisis they are being inside and afterwards the strict difficulties they come to a happy end. Within this context, to spread and promote the understanding of total quality being applied increasingly day to day, quality awards become being given in every place of the world. Criterion regarding these prises indicate the way for businesses to reach success as well.The first of Quality Prizes given aiming the adoption and development of Total Quality Management Philosopy by the whole businesses is The Deming Prize given in Japan aiming " improvement of quality assurance system and quality control". Afterwards, in USA considering that the competition and customer satisfication to be obtained owing to Total Quality Management, Malcolm Baldrige Prize is becoming given. Also in Europe considering by reaching perfection with the Total Ouality, customer and employee satisfication and social improvement is to be held, European Quality Award is becoming given. TÜSİAD - KalDer Quality Prize given in our Country, is an award that regards the princeples of European Quality Award.This study, is prepared to put forward the importance of these prizes and their criterions in the aspect of businesses being in our country.
