Abstract (EN)

The Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach is an improvement method focused on manufacturing and maintenance issues that require the involvement of each individual in the firm, in order to improve the production efficiency and increase productivity of the firm. Maintenance activities are significant costs to businesses and should be emphasized in order to increase the efficiency of production according to changing market conditions. In this context, the historical development of maintenance in the workshop, lean manufacturing issues to increase production efficiency and TPM have been explained. To measure the productivity of the TPM, all equipment efficiency and all resource efficiency approaches are described as a numerical measurement method. The systems that need to be established with the use of TPM and the interaction between department and employee in the firm by TPM application are examined. Successful steps of TPM application were presented and a TPM application was made in a firm located in Konya region. As a result of the TPM application, the wastes that affect the productivity of the company have been determined, developments in line with the targets have been observed comparing to previous periods and finally the recommendations are listed.
