The peaceful resolution ways of collective labour disputes; A comparative study of Turkey and Canada

When we assume that the "human being" is the main component in the industrial relations system, it becomes inevitable to distinguish the differences between two human societies with regard to social, cultural and historicaly as well as country perspectives. Therefore theese differences and similarities can't be far from each other with the way of industrial relations. We come across with the term of "industrial relations" as a first time in literature in America, later then it becomes so popular that it crosses the boundaries of the country and becomes very common at this field of study. As a simple way of looking, it means a work deal between labour and employer. After a few amendment, it has become as we know today since it has a dynamics structure. In this study, the peaceful resolution ways of collective labour disputes have been analysed between two countries, which take part in different industral reletions systems, on the perspective of comparative research. It has been briefly mentioned historical improvements of industrial relations, collective bargaining and collective negotiations, then grievance procedures and dispute resolution systems of Turkey and Canada. Afterwards, it has been given some methods of non-strike procedures and different application processes of the both countries. It has been evaluated for some main dispute resolution systems, such as conciliation, mediation and arbitration, and at the last stage, there has been given final evaluation of the structures of the both countries about dispute resolution effectiveness.
