Community-based narrative medicine

Health communication tries to explain the issues related to communication in the health field by comprehending many different health-related areas. Whereas to define health communication as an effort to democratize health and make it equitable and humane for all healthcare providers and patients, various health communication dynamics begin to open up. Community-based narrative medicine provides a holistic understanding of the health system through patient narratives and makes it possible to transform the health system in line with patient needs. In this study, posts and narratives of cancer patients on Facebook groups were examined in order to understand the needs of cancer patients and their caretakers and to present suggestions that can transform the system.
