Abstract (EN)

Social change can be defined variotions in the preceding social structure or the style of being within the certain time. The variations are searched by a lot of disciplines, one of which is literature. Due to the aspect of interesting the describe of life, literature provides a lot of historical and sociological datas. As a reflexion of values and feelings, literature demonstrates degree of changes in different societies. Besides, it explains the adpotations of individuals to change of socialized social structure. All of its sociological respects, make literature important for sociological researches. Literature is not only acts reflextory but it also directs social change. Among the knids of literature, novel describes prierily social events happen by Industrial society. It also an effort, to re-construct of social world, which is the web of relations between individuals and his/her family, politica and also state. Novel draws the picture of tensions among social classes and groups. Furthermore, it shows acts and conflicts of persons within family and other social institutions, as a witness of to be written century. The Turkish Novel contents inportant documents for observing radical change and metamorphism occurred from the approximately two century. In this thesis, follewed way is to deal with the reflexition style of change and metamorphism in Turkish society in Servet-i Funun period to novals. The effort to shed light on social change, produced new people models in Servet-i Funun Novels and the changes observed in these models illustrated by content analysis.
