Abstract (EN)
World Thorium reserves are estimated to be three times than that of Uranium. Thorium is therefore planned as fuel in the future as reported in the literature. In this study, the SKa density parameter sets were calculated for the target nucleus of Thorium (232Th) element using Skyrme Hartree Fock method. Results obtained from calculations. Results from this calculation were used for the (n, p) ve (n, 2n) cross section formula developed by Tel et al. (2003, 2008) [1,2] and Bychkov et al. (1982) [3] around 14.5 MeV energy and nuclei radius of 4.8fm. The data from (n, 2n) reaction cross section data using two formula have been discussed and then compared with data obtained from literature. As a results, data from Tel et al. (2003, 2008) [1,2] formula show good agreement with the experimental data from literature, while Bychkov et al. (1982) [3] formula are not good agreement with literature data.
