Abstract (EN)

In today's world where the importance of financial literacy is rapidly increasing, in order for a person to be financial literate, he / she must have financial knowledge and be able to understand financial transactions and make decisions on financial transactions. A financial literate person does not need to have a high level of financial knowledge. Being able to distinguish financial transactions that may come across in daily life and make financial decisions is sufficient for financial literacy. In this study, which measures financial literacy, a regional financial literacy survey was conducted. The study covers the faculties of economic and administrative sciences of universities in TR83 region. The aim of this study is to compare the financial literacy levels of the students studying in the faculties of economics and administrative sciences of universities in TR83 region and to investigate the relationship between some demographic variables and financial literacy. The study reveals the level of knowledge of university students in basic finance concepts. The relationship between demographic characteristics and the level of knowledge in basic finance concepts is examined.
