Human beings are made up of two different genders, male and female, on the biological axis. Gender is one of the factors that affect a person's status in society. The status of the "woman" gender, one of the two different genders, varies in proportion to our cultural value systems. Reconstructing biological sex by integrating with cultural value systems has revealed the concept of "gender". The formation of gender varies on the axis of matriarchal and patriarchal cultural structures. Gender is a concept that places the female sex in a set of patterns that directly affect its position in society. In this context, the main purpose of our research is; By examining the position of women in Trabzon's folk culture, it is to convey the status of women as a result of gender. For this purpose, the main problem of the research is; transition periods, folk beliefs, etc. In which areas did women come to the fore? poses a question. As a result of the literature review we have conducted on the status of women in Trabzon folk culture, which constitutes the basis of our research subject, no directly related findings can be reached on this subject. Studies on the status of women are mostly related to disciplines such as sociology and psychology. There is no study on the status of women in folk culture, especially on the province of Trabzon. Examining the status of "woman" in folk culture, which has been a current topic in recent years, will be very remarkable and fill an important gap in the field. In this study, in which the qualitative research method was adopted, field research was conducted to obtain data, and the source person information was consulted. In our research, the interview method was used as a method.
