Study of Trabzon city Sis Dagı Plateau '' Otçu Göçü'' celebration' s tradition and course of change through performance theory

"Otçu Göçü Senligi", celebration and transhumance of Chepni population to Sisdağı plateau, takes place every year on third Saturday of July within provincial borders of city of Trabzon. This tradition originates from the celebration of end of the weed out season of corn fields. Through the course of hundreds of years, it became a significant event in its region with a vital role in culture transmission between generations. In this study, this tradition is analysed through the context-based approach performance theory in individual, social and literature manners and its functional and structural effects on the celebration rituals.
