Abstract (EN)

By the help of complete database management techniques of GIS, it is veryeasy to update all the data quickly so emergency planning can be made as far aspossible. By the help of GIS in planning, iIt is possible to define the problemsquickly and determine results effectively and quickly. The use of remote sensingand GIS is very important in transportation planning to update and obtain the data,examine the collected statistical data by the aid of information systems andgenarate location independent solutions quickly and accurately. In this study,according to transportation problems in the centre of Eskişehir, trafic accidentdata analysed by GIS and remote sensing. Within this context, data can be usedfor revision of the transportation planning studies was produced depending criticalpoints which densely traffic accidents occurred.
