Abstract (EN)
In this study, biodiesel is produced from oils that have different characteristics applying the trans-esterification of acid and base catalyzed. It is seen that to be appropriate for the TS-EN 14214 standards these values obtained from fuels. Biodiesels, which as pure (B100) and mixed with diesel fuel (B20, B35, B50 AND B75) are investigated as comparison with diesel fuel of exhaust emission changes with engine performance characteristics, which be used on a three-cylinder direct injection diesel engine. An another interesting point of this study is to examine the change in performance and emission values on a diesel engine of dedekanol and propylene glycol additives that added on B50 of biodiesel fuels. According to experimental results, biodiesel and its blends showed generally similar characteristics with diesel fuel. It is seen that with the increasing ratio of biodiesel in fuel, specific fuel consumption and exhaust temperature has increased. Compared to diesel fuel in the use of biodiesel, while CO, HC and smoke emissions decrease, NOx, CO2 and O2 have increased. Also, in the study contain the additives added to B50 fuels, it showed thatHC, NOx and in specific fuel consumption decrease, in CO2 and O2 values to be increasing. As a result of test processing of all biodiesel fuels,B20 fuel displays a better performance than the others samples. Also, in additive study, the optimal ratio of additive; for CYME is 20Mn?mol/lt+PG, for the others are biodiesel approximately 40Mn?mol/lt+PG, too. Lubricating property of biodiesel fuel is a better case than others diesel fuel. This case is thanked to be a positive effect on the engine parts in the direct of erosion. It is concluded at the results of short and long term engine experiments, biodiesel and its blendscan be used in direct injection diesel engines without any modification to substitute diesel fuel. For diesel engines in terms of reducing of air pollution is also an alternative fuel.
