Özet (EN)

This study aims to investigate and evaluate the hazards and risks encountered in the construction, maintenance, and repair works of transformer stations from an occupational health and safety perspective. While electrical energy is critical for the sustainability of modern life, improper practices can lead to serious work accidents and occupational diseases. In this context, identifying and analyzing the risks that personnel working in high-voltage transformer stations may be exposed to, as well as implementing preventive measures against these risks, is of vital importance. In the study, an examination was conducted at a transformer station located in Yozgat province, and risk analyses were carried out using the Fine-Kinney Risk Assessment Method. Institutional permissions were obtained during the fieldwork and data collection process, and potential risks were identified and evaluated on-site. The findings obtained in this study provide applicable recommendations not only for the specific transformer station but also for similar facilities with comparable characteristics. Based on the findings of the study, awareness should be raised regarding occupational health and safety for workers in the electrical energy sector, a proactive approach should be promoted, and sustainability should be ensured.
