Abstract (EN)
In the recent years, interest in sustainable energy sources is increasing for resolving the energy requirements of the countries. Solar panels are also significant one of this sustainable energy sources. According to researches, It is understood that solar energy is a perfect solution in searching of clean, common and renewable energy. Electricity generation from solar energy occurred with the help of photovoltaic solar cells. In this research, increasing the efficiency of solar cells is aimed by increasing the photocatalytic effect. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanotubes are preferred for being ideal in thin film applications thanks to excellent optical transmittance, high refractive index, chemical stability, high specific surface area, ability to ion exchange and photocatalytic.In this thesis firstly, titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticules were synthesized sol-gel method and then they were converted to titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanotubes with the 8-10nm diameter with the help of hydrothermal method. Colloidal suspension are prepared with these produced nanotubes. This stable solution is provided to coat on the conductive ITO coated glass with magnetic field . Samples' SEM, XRD, EDS, TEM, BET, and UV-Vis analyses are completed. Changes are observed about physical, chemical, optical properties of thin film on ITO because of the nanotubes' orientation. With the creating electrodes in this method which will be used in solar panels, the roughness of the coating, the photon / electron conversion and increasing the surface area are aimed. In this method, lowering the stimulation energy level of TiO2 and the incident light to be converted to a higher rate of electric current are expected.
