The investigation of the relationship between psychological resilience levels and post-traumatic growth levels in professionals who interview trauma victims individually: Adıyaman province example

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between psychological resilience levels and post-traumatic growth levels of professional staff who conduct individual interviews with trauma victims. A total of 196 professionals working in Adıyaman province, in different professions (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, sociologists, etc.) and interviewing trauma victims participated in the study. "Sociodemographic Information Form", "Posttraumatic Growth Scale" and "Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults" were used in the data collection process. "Independent Samples t-Test", "One-Way Analysis of Variance", "Pearson Correlation Analysis" and "Multiple Linear Regression Analysis" were used in the data analysis process. At the end of the study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between the psychological resilience levels of the professional staff and post-traumatic growth levels. In addition, it was determined that the level of psychological resilience of professional staff showed significant differences according to gender, marital status and income level variables, and the level of post-traumatic growth showed significant differences according to gender, working time in the profession and monthly income level variables. As a result, it can be said that psychological resilience affects posttraumatic growth in professionals who interview trauma victims, and demographic variables are also effective on psychological resilience and posttraumatic growth.
