Abstract (EN)
A novel electroanalytical procedure is proposed for determination thetriflumizole pesticide in pure form, commercial formulation, soil and lake watersamples using differential pulse polarography. The polarographic behavior oftriflumizole exhibited a single well-defined differential pulse peak over the pHrange 1,0-2,0 in HCl and 3,0-9,0 in Britton-Robinson buffer solution. The peakpotentials were strongly pH-dependent in that they shifted to more negativevalues with increasing pH. A plot of reduction potentials (Ep) versus pH exhibitedtwo linear segments with a break at pH 4.0 which corresponded to the pKa±1value of triflumizole. The polarographic reduction peak at pH 2.0 showedquantitative increments with the additions of standard triflumizole solutionunder the optimal conditions and the corresponding peak current was linearityproportional to triflumizole concentration in the range of 2.0x10-6- 9.1x10-5 M.The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were obtained as7.16 x 10-7 M and 2.39 x 10-6 M, respectively. The proposed method was appliedsuccessfully for the determination of triflumizole in spiked soil and lake water. The mean recoveries of the pesticide were 102.1 % and 103.6% with a relativestandard deviation of 1.01 % and 2.68 % in soil and lake water, respectively. This method was extended to the determination of triflumizole in agrochemicalfungicide formulation Trifmine® and accuracy was in agreement with thatobtained by HPLC comparison method. The influence of some interfering ionsand pesticides was also investigated.
