Abstract (EN)

A trigeneration system is a system that manages production of electric power and heat and cooling simultaneous. Energy losses arised during energy generation in traditional ways. The use of trigeneration systems increases the efficiency of energy production with the production of heat and cooling. Natural gas, biogas and landfill are used as primary fuel in these systems. The objective of this study is to present a techno-economic analysis of a trigeneration systems. Grid synchronization is one of the key issues for trigeneration systems. Due to this feature, short circuit contribution to main grid shall be considered during design phase. In technical analyse section, this contribution is calculated as per IEC 60909 using ETAP software. Initial investment costs and operation costs of the system are analyzed in economical section. Main economical variables that affect return on investment are defined as currency, natural gas prices, inflation and interest rate. Relations between these variables are investigated by Eviews software. Then a prediction is made on a going forward basis. Thereby it is easy to understand real return on investment by using expected values of natural gas prices, currency, inflation and interest rates.
