Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of thermal cycle on mechanical properties of TRIP Steels in gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and TIG welding. To control the effectiveness of the developed method, all plates were single pass welded and thermal cycle profiles were created at different points on the surface of the welded plates. In the experimental study, thermal cycle profiles were created by taking temperature measurements at a distance of 1-2-3-5 mm from the weld fusion line of the GMAW applied samples by using 4-channel k-type thermocouples at different welding speeds. Thermal cycle profiles of TIG welding samples were created by taking temperature measurements at a distance of 3-5-7-9 mm from the welding area by using 4-channel k-type thermocouples. Mechanical tests and microstructural investigation of welded samples were also conducted. The results were discussed to evaluate the thermal cycle profiles of welded TRIP steel plates as a function of welding speed.
