The relationshıp between laboratory parameters and scoring systems in predicting poor functional outcome and in-hospital mortality in acute stroke patients receiving thrombolytic treatment and mechanical thrombectomy INTRODUCTION AND AIM: In this study; We claimed to define the superiority of validated scoring systems to be used in patients evaluated with a diagnosis of acute stroke and the accompanying parameters in predicting complications and mortality in patients. METHODS: Patients who applied to the Sakarya Egitim ve Arastirma Hastanesi Emergency Service between 01.07.2022 and 01.07.2023 and were diagnosed with ischemic stroke and were admitted to the Stroke Intensive Care Unit were included in this retrospective study. Patients had been evaluated in terms of functional outcome, complications, and mortality and compared in terms of SEDAN, ASTRAL, DRAGON scores and laboratory parameters. FINDINGS: In this study, which evaluated 286 patients admitted to the Stroke Intensive Care Unit, 203 patients were analyzed in the study and it was found that 124 of them underwent interventional procedures and 79 of them received conservational follow-up. As a result of the statistical analysiss, there were significant differences in the total admission time, mRS value, ASTRAL score, hyperlipidemia and congestive heart failure, serum glucose and pH values, and re-admission to the emergency department according to the treatment groups. All these three scoring scales were found to be statistically significant in terms of development about complication, in-hospital mortality and 90-day mortality. CONCLUSION: These validated scores have been shown to be significant in predicting complications and mortality, regardless of the treatment applied. It was concluded that multicenter studies with larger sample sizes would contribute to the literature.
