Abstract (EN)

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of PRP on implant stability by resonance frequnecy analysis on early healing period. In addition, the influence of implant length, diameter, bone density and patient sex on the implant stability was investigated in this study32 patients, who did not have any systemic health problem and did not need sinus floor augmentation, distraction osteogenesis and bone grafting had at least 2 missing teeth in the posterior maxilla which were extracted at least 6 months ago were included in this study. Two SLActive implants were placed to each patient. After surgical preparation of implant sockets, selecting one of the sockets randomly, the selected ones were washed with a part of the preoperatively prepared PRP. No PRP application was made to the other sockets. The rest of the PRP was used to wash the implant that would be placed into the PRP-washed socket. The other implant was not washed with PRP. Resonance frequency measurements were made by Osstell? mentor intraoperatively and on the post-operative 4.th day, and the following 1.st, 2.nd, 3.rd and 4.th weeksIn conclusion, this study has shown that there is statistically significant difference between the stability of PRP (+) and PRP (-) implants (p>0.008).
