Analysis of the Turkish folk songs belonging to Elaziğ-Harput region in the repertoire of TRT in terms of maqam and method

Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to analyze the Turkish folk songs belonging to the Elazığ-Harput region in the TRT repertoire in terms of maqam and method. Within the framework of this basic aim, the maqam characteristics of the Turkish folk songs are determined by analyzing their major keys, power keys, yeden tones and suspended chords, and their method characteristics are determined by analyzing their time, unit, method type, method patterns. In carrying out this research, document analysis (structured) model was used. The population of the research consists of 4991 kırık hava songs in the TRT Turkish Folk Music (TFM) repertoire. The sample of the research consists of 83 Elazığ-Harput folk songs in TRT TFM repertoire. As a result of the analyzes included in the study, a total of 83 Turkish folk songs belonging to the Elazığ-Harput region within the TRT TFS repertoire were reached. In these songs, 13 maqam series were determined. There are 18,0 Uşşak, 17,0 Hüseyni maqam series with a maximum. Hence, in the Elazığ-Harput region, the Hüseyni and Uşşak maqam series folk songs are in greater numbers. It was determined that Hicaz and Segah are 12,0%, Gerdaniye is 9,6 %, Karcığar is 8,4%, Buselik is 3,6%, Saba and Rast 2,4%, Suzinak, Mahur and Kürdi are 1.2%, Çargâh and Muhayyer are %6.0. On analyzing the method analysis in the research, it was determined that among the 83 folk songs in TRT TFM repertoire, 46 folk songs were in mixed method with 55,4 %, 26 folk songs were in main method with 31,2 %, 9 folk songs were in conjunctive method with 10,8 % and 2 folk songs were in multi-method with 2,4 %.
