Trust models for cloud services using encryption techniques

Recently, the number of users that use cloud for data storage, or data sharing dramatically increases. Cloud computing attracts the cloud users by providing significant benefits due to scalable, easy access, dynamic, pay on demand features. However, besides the significant benefits that cloud computing provides, it has many challenges as well. Trust in cloud is known as one of the top obstacles that cloud computing face. There exists a number of works that propose trust models to help cloud users for selecting appropriate cloud service provider that meets users' security and privacy requirements. Trust models are constructed to evaluate trust in cloud. This thesis provides a research on trust models constructed by using encryption techniques, and trusted third parties. The trust models are compared based on the trust evaluation parameters. Moreover, in this thesis, guidelines to build a secure trust model are provided.
