Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to examine science videos on '' TUBITAK Bilim Genç '' web site with pre-service teachers using innovative science experiment criteria. The study was held with two equivalent third year classes taking "Laboratory Applications in Science Teaching-I Course" in their autumn semester of the 2019-2020 academic year at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education at Dokuz Eylul University Buca Faculty of Education. According to the random assignment method, one of these two classes was determined as the experimental 1 group (n: 24) and the other as the experimental 2 (n: 25). In this study, of nested experimental design which is one of mixed method types was used. In the application part of the study, the rotation model was adopted from the quasi-experimental models. In this study, "Innovative Science Experiment Criteria (ISEC)" scale and "Semi-Structured Interview Form" were used to collect data. The quantitative data obtained from the ISEC scale of the study were analyzed and supported by a semi-structured interview form and qualitative data obtained from the observation research. Quantitative data were analyzed with SPSS program and descriptive values were given. The content analysis of the qualitative data obtained from the interview form was made. According to "TUBITAK Bilim Genç" science videos, the difference between the pre-test and final test average scores was determined to be high and significant for the pre-service teachers who designed by problem-based learning scenarios. As a result of the analysis of quantitative data obtained by designing and applying experiments suitable for "TUBITAK Bilim Genç" science videos; It is concluded that the experimental materials are easy to implement and suitable for regulation. It has been detected that "TUBITAK Bilim Genç" science videos are found to be suitable for the student level, to excite the pre-service teachers and to stimulate their imagination, to relate to the gains of the course and to daily life, and to offer solutions to the problems encountered. Due to the shortcomings of the pre-service teachers who designed experiments with problem-based experimental scenarios and writing scenarios and experiments there was a decreasing relationship between the sub-dimensions of the ISEC scale. In accordance with the interviews conducted with the pre-service teachers, it was determined that the pre-service teachers were more prone to experiments with colorful, audible, daily life-related, interesting, easily understood, the directive is, simple and cheap materials.
