Abstract (EN)

Installment Sales Contract is a kind of sales contract that is widely applied today, which includes the payment of the sales price in installments. With the help of the installment sales agreements, the consumer or buyer who does not have sufficient purchasing power can get the goods or services in a shorter period of time but he/she pays in part. On the other hand, the seller or provider also provides goods or services to revive the economy. In this study, sales contracts in installments are examined primarily within the framework of consumer law legislation, however, as the provisions of the Turkish Code of Obligations will be applied when necessary, the provisions in the Turkish Code of Obligations are also included. In the first section of the study, the definition, legal characteristics and elements of the installment sales contracts are emphasized. Afterwards, the relationship between installment sales agreements and similar agreements was evaluated and in the last section explanations regarding the end of installment sales agreements were made. As a result, the installment sales contracts, which are widely applied, are regulated by the legislator in favor of consumers and buyers. Especially in installment sales contracts, the right of the consumer to withdraw is an important right brought by the legislator.
