Abstract (EN)
Organic textile production and consumption have been spreading and extending especially in the recent years. An organic apparel is a product that is being produced by the means of natural conditions, thus, is through, being avoided with any use of chemicals or genetically modified organizmas. At its further stage of production, it should be certified by accredited and authorised institutions. In this study, organic textile products are examined in the context of its marketing and purchasing conditions. Moreover, it is aimed to find out the specific reasons to purchasing or tendency to pay more for these products by the consumers. In line with this purpose, four shopping malls in Ankara have been selected to implement a survey to random textile products customers. In total, 168 people answered to the questions, which seek to explore the effect of demographic and other specific factors on customers to their motivation and practice of purchasing behaviour. Trend analysis, mean scores and standard deviation were calculated and also t-test, k square as well as variance analysis have been applied to the findings of the survey. Results suggest that, `health? has been found as the most important factor for impulse buying. Price of organic textile products is the main reason to low demand for these products. Furthermore, there is a considerable relation between `average income, frequency of organic products purchase, environment and health consciousness? and `purchasing or willingness to pay more for organic apparel?.
