Abstract (EN)
Due to difficulty of building safe roads in the harsh environment and high cost, roads such as railways and pedestrian have been prefer to construct in underground e.g. tunnels, nowadays. In order to reduce ramps and shorten travel distances which will force the driver, disturb the driving safety which may endanger driving safety according to the conditions of the nature, obstacles (mountain, hill etc.) are passed through tunnels. In this way, the tunnels on the road route increase and the lighting methods of these different tunnels change day and night. Tunnel lighting calculations and applications gain a special importance in good tunnel lighting as traffic flow should be provided in the same comfort, speed and safety as the approached road. In addition, with the development of tunnel technology, much equipment is used inside and outside the tunnel and electrical needs vary according to the types of these equipment. In this thesis; The importance of tunnel lighting is mentioned and the basic principles of lighting are examined in detail. In the light of these principles, the lighting of the August 8 Tunnel in Bitlis province and comparative analysis of the lighting were performed. August 8 The lighting of the tunnel is done with high pressure sodium vapor luminaires and all the energy required is provided from the network. Within the scope of this study, the energy that August 8 Tunnel currently consumes for lighting is obtained with real data and then the results obtained when using the same system's LED lighting equipment are compared with the initial situation. The results of this analysis were modeled in Matlab / Simulink program.
